Children of Atal Residential School will communicate with PM Modi
Gorakhpur (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government, while conducting innovative experiments in the state, has opened Atal Residential Schools on the lines of free boarding in the state. Children starting their studies in Atal Residential School are going to get a chance to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prime Minister Modi will formally inaugurate the Atal Residential Schools established at all the 18 divisional headquarters of the state from Varanasi on September 23. On this occasion, he will interact directly with the children of other boards in Varanasi and online.
Atal Residential School in Gorakhpur has also been included in the initial preparations for virtual dialogue with PM Modi. Atal Residential School is an innovative initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to provide completely free and quality education under excellent residential system to the children of laborers and children destitute due to Corona in the state.
Teaching has started in the first academic session in the Atal Residential Schools established by the state government in all the divisional headquarters of the state. In the first session, 80 students (40 boys and 40 girls) got admission in class six on the basis of merit of divisional level entrance examination in all such schools.
The first academic session of Atal Residential School, located in Sahjanwa, Gorakhpur and operated under the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, started with the admission ceremony on 11 September. Within a week of the start of the session, the students here are completely engrossed in the excellent arrangements for accommodation, food, studies and extra-curricular activities.
They are participating wholeheartedly in every activity. Meanwhile, the excitement of the students about the possibility of communicating with the Prime Minister has increased further. Ajit Kumar Singh, Principal of Atal Residential School, says that from the hostel to the school, the children have been given a friendly environment. Their every facility and need is being taken full care of.
According to Deputy Labor Commissioner Amit Kumar Mishra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate all the Atal Residential Schools from Varanasi. He can also interact with children on the occasion of inauguration. Although the final decision is yet to be taken, preliminary preparations have been started for ‘two way’ communication with PM Modi.
