CM’s son again raised controversy, untouchability will end by abolishing Sanatan Dharma

Chennai. Tamil Nadu Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who created a stir across the country by making derogatory remarks against Sanatan Dharma, has once again courted controversy by saying that abolishing Sanatan Dharma will end untouchability. Udhayanidhi gave this statement while talking to media persons on Wednesday. Udhayanidhi said, “We say that Sanatan Dharma should be abolished only to end untouchability. I believe that if Sanatan Dharma ends then untouchability will also end.

Udhayanidhi made this statement while reacting to Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi’s statement on social discrimination in the state. According to the report, earlier Udhayanidhi had said that Sanatan Dharma is like dengue and malaria and it has to be eliminated. This created a huge controversy across the country and the BJP immediately termed it a call for genocide. BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya had said in a tweet that the DMK leader had called for the genocide of the Hindu population, which constitutes 80 per cent of the country’s total population. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also publicly said, Udhayanidhi is promoting genocide against the Hindu community. However, constituents of the opposition India faction came out against this statement, after which the DMK went on the backfoot and Stalin publicly said, “BJP and NDA are trying to instigate the opposition by using Sanatan Dharma and the discussion There should be a crackdown on the corruption of the Narendra Modi government.” He also cited the CAG report and called for a fight against the BJP, NDA alliance on the issue of corruption.
