Thieves stole Rs 8 lakh from house, case registered
Korba: Thieves stole 60 thousand cash and 8 lakh precious gold and silver jewelery from the house of a female teacher in the Civil Line police station area of Korba and ran away. Thieves entered inside the house located in CSEB Colony by breaking the lock. The locker of two cupboards was broken. Police have registered a case against unknown accused.
According to the information received, a 20 tola silver necklace worth Rs 4 lakh was taken away. Apart from this, gold jewelery has also been stolen. Kalpana Subramaniam resides in the house, who is posted as a teacher in Vidyut Griha School. She has gone to Nagpur to meet her sick daughter. Parvez, a family member of the landlord, told that she had gone to take care of the house a week ago after giving him the keys. In the morning the maid who works at the house also comes, when she arrived the lock was broken. Civil Line police station also called dog squad to catch the thieves. During the investigation, the police got some important clues. After registering a crime against unknown thieves, the police have started searching for the accused.
