Durg: A case of theft worth lakhs has come to light in the house of industrialist Manish Gupta in the district. Gupta is the director of Bhilai’s big industrial BSBK. His son and executive director of the company Shrirang Gupta has lodged a complaint of theft at Supela police station.
Shrirang has stated in the FIR that his house is bungalow number 53,54 in Nehru Nagar East. Late night on 24th September, an unknown person entered their house and stole gold, silver jewelery and cash from the house and went away. When the people of the house woke up at 5 in the morning, they saw that the cupboard of the house was open and the things were scattered. When they looked at the entire house, they found that late at night someone had jumped from the back wall of the house and entered inside. After this he broke the side door and entered inside. Then he broke the door of the dressing room and broke the cupboard inside and stole 08 pieces of silver plate, 24 pieces of silver bowl, 8 pieces of silver spoons and father’s old watch.
Supela TI Durgesh Sharma said that according to the complainant, goods worth only Rs 60 thousand were stolen from his house. At the same time, he is also saying that his father Manish Gupta has gone to Delhi. Only after coming back from there will they be able to tell how much of their belongings have been stolen. Police say that the Mashruqa will be extended according to the information given when the father arrives. But the way jewelery boxes and other items were scattered at the scene of the incident, it clearly seems that the theft is very big, which the complainants are not able to explain at the moment.
