One dead, another serious in road accident in Balasore
Balasore: One youth was killed and another sustained critical injuries after bus hits bike near Mahadev Chhak on Jaleswar-Chandaneswar road in Balasore.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Udayapur area under Talasari Marine police limits of Balasore.
Sources say, the private bus enroute Chandaneswar from Berhampur hits bike coming from Jaleswar, following which two persons sustained critical injuries. The local people immediately rescued them and shifted to Jaleswarpur Community Health Centre (CHC) for medical treatment.
On reaching the hospital, one person was declared brought dead and another person health condition started deteriorating, he was shifted to Balasore District Headquarters hopsital (DHH) for further treatment.
The locals staged protest demanding compensation for the family members of the deceased and the injured.
On receiving information about the protest, the Kamarda police reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
