Suspicious boat caught from Okha, Dwarka, 3 Iranians and two Indians arrested
Dwarka. Police have arrested 4 people with a suspicious boat near Okha in Devbhoomi Dwarka district. Another person has also been arrested, who had come to Okha from Rajkot to receive them. Those arrested include three Iranian nationals and two Indians. Along with the local police, various agencies have also started interrogating the arrested people. According to Okha Police, the police have arrested 3 Iranian citizens and an Indian along with a suspicious boat. There is a possibility of these people coming to India from Iran via sea route. A satellite phone has also been recovered from the boat. According to police sources, preliminary inquiry revealed that the youth from Tamil Nadu used to work in Iran. His passport was confiscated by his owner. After this he wanted to run away to India, so he took the help of an Iranian boat to come to India.
His brother also worked in Iran. He had a passport, so he came to Rajkot and later came to Okha to pick up his brother who had reached India via an Irani boat. The police have also taken him into custody. Various agencies of the government are also interrogating the five arrested youths. According to police sources, based on the conversation and frequency of the seized satellite phone, it has been confirmed that the people in the boat were in conversation with Iran and other countries.
