New Delhi: With the announcement of assembly election dates in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram, the election bugle also sounded. According to the Election Commission, voting will be held first in Mizoram on 7 November. After this, voting will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November. Voting will be held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on 7th November and 17th November. Whereas, voting will be held in Rajasthan on 23rd November and Telangana on 30th November. The results in all 5 states will come on December 3.
BJP released the list of 57 candidates for the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan will contest from Budhni, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra from Datia, Gopal Bhargava from Rehli, Vishwas Sarang from Narela and Tulsiram Silavat from Saver.
Voting will be held in the first phase on November 17 in Madhya Pradesh, which has 230 seats. The tenure of the Assembly in the state is going to end on January 6, 2024. The last assembly elections in the state were held in November 2018. In that election, Congress formed the government in the state and Kamal Nath became the Chief Minister. But in March 2020, 22 Congress MLAs resigned from the assembly and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with Jyotiraditya Scindia. After this the state government fell and Chief Minister Kamal Nath had to resign. After this, BJP formed the government in the state and Shivraj Singh Chouhan became the Chief Minister.
Voting will be held in two phases in Chhattisgarh. Voting will take place here on 7th and 17th November. The tenure of the 90-seat Chhattisgarh Assembly will end on January 3, 2024. The last assembly elections were held in November 2018. Congress had won this election and Bhupesh Baghel became the Chief Minister of the state.
