Everyone should discharge their responsibilities seriously in conducting the elections – Collector Karthikeya Goyal
Raigarh. The newly appointed Collector of the district, Kartikeya Goyal, after assuming charge today, reviewed the administrative preparations for the elections in the Collectorate meeting room. He told all the officials that the code of conduct is effective in the district. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, nodal officers have been appointed for all the election work and teams have also been formed. Everyone should discharge their responsibilities seriously, so that the election work can be conducted systematically and smoothly. On this occasion, District Panchayat CEO Jitender Yadav, DFO Raigarh Ms. Stylo Mandavi, DFO Dharamjaygarh Abhishek Jogawat, Additional Collector Santan Devi Jagade, Additional Collector Rajiv Pandey, Assistant Collector Yuvraj Marmat, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sunil Chandravanshi were present.
Collector Goyal took information regarding the necessary preparations after the election date announcement by the Election Commission of India. Giving information regarding election preparations, Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Rajiv Pandey said that there are 1085 polling stations in the four assembly constituencies of the district. Out of which 59 polling stations of Raigarh Assembly are in Sarangarh district. Along with this, he gave information regarding the proposed site, building and name change. During this, he gave information about tehsil wise polling centers and information regarding the publication of electoral rolls.
Collector Goyal took information about distribution and return of voting material. Deputy District Election Officer and Additional Collector gave information about the place fixed for nomination and he said that the distribution of materials for the three assemblies will be done from Kit Raigarh and Dharamjaygarh Assembly material distribution will be done from DIET Dharamjaygarh. For which adequate manpower and EVMs are available. He gave detailed information about the action plan of Sangwari, Adarsh, Divyang and Youth polling centers as per the instructions of the Election Commission. Collector Shri Goyal directed all the nodal officers for the smooth conduct of the election work and instructed the Excise Commissioner to take action against illegal liquor transportation, storage and sale in the border areas of the district through the formed team. He also directed police officers and surveillance teams regarding border surveillance.
