Saharanpur: In Saharanpur, UP, a sub-inspector jumped in front of a moving train to commit suicide. He was seriously injured after being hit by a train. However, the alertness of the loco pilot and immediate application of sharp brakes saved the inspector’s life. The police admitted the inspector to the hospital in an injured condition. After first aid he was referred to a higher centre.
The matter is near the hospital bridge of police station Sadar Bazar area. Inspector Yogendra Sharma, originally a resident of Saidpur village of Bulandshahr, is posted at Sadar Bazar police station. Presently he is living alone in Brajeshnagar of the metropolis. On Saturday morning he reached the railway track under the hospital bridge. As soon as the train came, he jumped in front of the train. The train driver immediately applied the brakes as soon as he saw it. Despite this he got hit by a train. Meanwhile, people present nearby saved them and informed the police. On information, Sadar Bazar police reached the spot. The injured inspector was admitted to the district hospital. The inspector has suffered a fracture in one of his hands. The doctors referred the inspector to a higher centre. Inspector Sadar Bazar Ramesh Chandra Singh said that the injured Inspector Yogendra Sharma has been admitted to a private hospital in Muzaffarnagar.
The police personnel living with him in the police station told that for the last few days, Inspector Yogendra Sharma was seen under tension. He was not feeling like working. He was not talking to anyone in the police station. Started remaining silent. SP City Abhimanyu Manglik said that Inspector Yogendra Sharma attempted suicide. The inspector was saved by the people nearby, his hand was fractured. The injured inspector has been admitted to the district hospital. After talking to his family members, it was revealed that he was under stress due to personal reasons.
