It was said that Ramshankar Gupta, resident of Mohalla Dubey, Bisalpur police station, district Pilibhit, along with his associate Arvind Tripathi alias Ganesh ji alias Guruji, resident of Delhi, was arrested on Saturday evening near the Social Welfare Office Tirahe, located on Basmandi Road, Vibhutikhand police station area of the capital. taken.
The statement said that the STF was receiving information for a long time that the Chief Minister’s Security Officer and Special Secretary, Investment, were posing as UP Government to get contracts in various departments, get transfers and to get the status of Chairman/Minister of various boards nominated by the government. But some people are being cheated illegally. In this regard, the process of collecting information was being done under the supervision of STF Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Vikram Singh. During the collection of information on Saturday, it was revealed that a person named Ramshankar, who has changed his name to Ashish Gupta, is cheating in the name of getting transfer in various departments, important political posts and contracts etc. by pretending to be the protocol officer of the Chief Minister’s Office.
Police also came to know that Gupta was coming to meet someone near the Social Welfare Office with his associate Arvind Tripathi. On receiving this information, the STF team reached the said place and arrested the above two accused using necessary force. The STF team seized five mobile phones, Rs 10,460 in cash, several fake identity cards belonging to the Chief Minister’s Protocol Officer, the Vice Chancellor of Socrates University, Delhi and a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association. Apart from this, two ‘letter pads’ (belonging to the Special Secretary (Investment), Uttar Pradesh Government and the Vice Chancellor of Socrates University, Delhi) and other documents were recovered, through which these accused used to commit fraud.
The arrested accused Ramshankar told during interrogation that he is not working in any government department nor is he the Vice Chancellor. He has got two different Aadhaar cards made in his name. His real name is Ramshankar Gupta, to commit fraud he has changed his name to Ashish Gupta. To the general public, he would tell his name as Dr. Ashish Gupta and introduce himself as an IAS/PCS officer, Special Secretary (Investment), Uttar Pradesh Government, Chief Minister’s Security Officer and Vice Chancellor of Socrates University, Delhi, etc. He admitted that till now he has defrauded his associate to the tune of crores of rupees in the name of getting political posts, getting contracts in various departments etc.
Arvind Tripathi, supporting the statements of Ashish, said that he has studied till 12th class and is known as Yoga Guru and at some places he calls himself a lawyer of Delhi High Court.
