Youth killed for mobile phone in Chandbali of Odisha

Chandbali: In a shocking incident, a youth has been killed for a mobile phone in Bhadrak district of Odisha said reports on Tuesday.

According to reliable reports, the body of the youth was recovered in a dismembered state after a search of two days from a waterbody under Mato police station limits in Bhadrak.

Reports say that the deceased youth has been identified as, Shukant Das of Ankha sahi. His body was recovered by the police.

However, after the family filed a complaint in Chandbali police station, the police investigated and arrested a local man in the matter of the youth being killed for mobile phone.

The police investigation found that there was an enmity between the dead youth Shukant Das and Jaydev Das of the same village over the mobile phone. Enraged by this incident, Jaydev beat Shukant with a wooden stick and killed him. In this incident, the police arrested Jaydev.

However, Shukant Das left the house and did not return from the night of last 13th. On the morning of the 15th, people found the dead body of Shukant floating near the village and reported it to the police.
