Postal department gave information about the schemes

Jharkhand. As part of National Postal Week, the Postal Department celebrated Mail and Parcel Day. Meanwhile, a customer meet was also held in a hotel in Ranchi. In this, incentive awards were given to the employees who performed excellently last year and the successful participants of the competitions held in Hindi Pakhwada-2023.
In the program chaired by Rakesh Kumar, Chief Postmaster General of Jharkhand Postal Circle, people were given information about One Stop Solution, Post Office Export Centre, Rail Post Gati Shakti Express Service, Parcel Tracker etc. Feedback was also taken from people on these. Principal Accountant General of Jharkhand RK Aggarwal, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Department Satish Chandra, Deputy Election Officer Sanjay Kumar, Regional Director of NIOS Dr Rajeev Prasad, Subhash Kumar Sahay and Senior Superintendent of Passport Office Sunil Kumar and other officials participated in this meeting.

Concession identity card for 22 disabled children

To give concession in train tickets, 22 disabled children were given concession certificates by Ranchi Railway Division. In this regard, a camp was organized by Ranchi Railway Division Commerce Department at Kshitij Deaf and Dumb Middle School, Nivaranpur Doranda. During this, after checking the documents, a certificate with photo was given. Senior Commercial Manager Nishant Kumar said that there is a provision of concession in railway tickets for disabled passengers and there are many types of facilities.
To get the concession, one has to apply in the prescribed proforma in the Divisional Commercial Office along with the disability certificate and concession certificate issued by the doctor of the authorized hospital or institution. After this, after verification, concession based photo identity cards are issued to the disabled passengers.
