Nitish Kumar’s new strategy, an attempt to woo the upper castes!
Patna . In Bihar, BJP is trying to prove itself as a well-wisher of many sections by alleging irregularities in the caste census. On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a new move by sending Rajvardhan Azad, son of former Chief Minister Bhagwat Jha Azad, to the Legislative Council seat after the resignation of former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha.
It is believed that through this clever move, Nitish has not only tried to blunt this weapon of BJP but has also tried to break into the vote bank of the upper caste considered to be of BJP.
There is no doubt that since the release of the caste based census report in Bihar, the political equations in the state are changing. After the release of the report, Nitish Kumar is now trying to woo the upper caste community.
Making Rajvardhan Azad MLC is being seen as being linked to serving the upper castes. Even before this, his closeness to jailed former MP Anand Mohan and the changes in the jail manual to bring him out of jail are also being linked to this.
A JDU leader also believes that there is doubt whether the upper caste voters who are associated with JDU will remain with JDU after joining RJD. After BJP came to power, especially after 10 percent reservation was given to the economically weaker upper caste people, most of the upper caste communities have been supporting the BJP.
In such a situation, JDU is eyeing to connect the upper caste voters. Meanwhile, in Bihar politics, there is talk of Anand Mohan also joining JDU. Recently, Anand Mohan had also reached the Chief Minister’s residence to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. There is also news that Nitish is going to visit Anand Mohan’s village soon. (IANS)
