Man murdered in rented room, father blames live-in partner
Kota: A 32-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh was found dead in his rented room, possibly crushed by a stone, police said on Friday. He said that the incident took place in Nanta police station area of the city where the man was living with his female partner, who is absconding and has not been traced yet. Police have registered a case of murder against an unknown person. The victim’s father alleges that his son’s live-in female partner murdered him and ran away. The police handed over the body of the victim to his father after post-mortem from the medical board on Friday morning.
Police station in-charge Mukesh Meena said that the blood-stained body of Naresh Tanwar, a native of Khedi-Ghat in Khandwa district, was found in a room of Ganesh Colony late on Wednesday evening. A heavy stone, allegedly used in the crime, was also recovered from the room, he said. The station in-charge said that the room where Tanwar’s body was found was closed. The murder came to light on Wednesday evening when the landlord informed the police. Meena said police have registered a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code against an unidentified person and have begun investigation with efforts to nab Tanwar’s live-in female partner. His father, who reached Kota on Thursday evening, said that his son is married and has two children and he had started living with a married woman about two months ago, who also has two children. According to his father, Tanwar was living with the woman in Ganesh Colony for the last 10 days and worked as a daily wage labourer.
