Update on Kondagaon bus accident, 14 people injured
Kondagaon. A major accident occurred in the district on Friday night. A passenger bus went out of control and overturned near the Narangi River bridge on Kondagaon National Highway 30. 14 people have been injured in this accident, while 2 people are said to be seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The bus that was the victim of the accident is said to be of Payal Travels. Kondagaon police is investigating the accident.
Traffic officer Dnyaneshwar Chauhan said that this accident happened last night at around 1.30 am. The bus that was the victim of the accident, while going from Bailadila to Durg, went out of control and overturned in a pit just in front of the Narangi River bridge on National Highway 30. The injured were rescued by the traffic police and Kondagaon Kotwali police. The slightly injured passengers have been sent by another bus. Also, the seriously injured were taken to the district hospital with the help of 108. It is being told that the two seriously injured passengers in the bus accident include 40 year old Rupali Bhattacharya, resident of Bacheli and 52 year old Sheikh Wakil Ahmed, resident of Durg. Both have been admitted to the district hospital Kondagaon, where their treatment is going on.
