Preparations for ground attacks in Gaza Strip continue
Oil Aviv. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says it continues to prepare for a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip. His plan is an expansion of the war for which approval has been granted.
According to media reports, the IDF said the army was conducting training in accordance with approved operational plans.
The IDF has deployed thousands of troops along the Gaza border ahead of a major ground offensive, the Times of Israel reported. Officials said the attack would “start soon.”
The health ministry said at least 4,385 people, including 1,756 children, had been killed in the fighting since the start of the Israeli-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip (October 7).
Another 13,561 people were injured, the ministry said.
However, these figures could not be independently confirmed. These include both soldiers and ordinary civilians dying on both sides of the border.
Israel said it had killed about 1,500 Hamas militants after a deadly Oct. 7 attack that killed 1,400 people and took 210 prisoners, the Times of Israel reported.
The IDF said an anti-tank guided missile was fired from Lebanon in the Margaliet region of northern Israel.
The IDF said it carried out drone strikes against the missile-launching cell.
He said another missile was also launched from Lebanon over the Hanita area. The military responded by shelling the source of the missile launch.
