Government will give Rs 25 lakh to the dependents of martyr Amita
Bihar. Immediate assistance of Rs 25 lakh has been approved for the family of martyred policeman Amita Bachchan of Vaishali. This assistance amount will be given to the family members of the martyred policeman within two days. The committee formed for the welfare of policemen at the state police headquarters has given this approval. Assistant Inspector General of Police (Welfare) Vishal Sharma gave this information at the police headquarters. According to the information, the State Police Headquarters has recently decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the dependents of policemen who died while on duty.
Under this decision, it has been recommended to provide this assistance to the dependents of two martyred police personnel. Among these, the first one includes the dependents of OP in-charge martyr Nandkishore Yadav in Mohanpur, Samastipur and the second one includes the dependents of martyred policeman Amita Bachchan in Sarai of Vaishali. OP in-charge Shaheed Nandkishore Yadav was shot during an encounter with animal smugglers. Whereas, martyred policeman Amita was shot by miscreants in an encounter on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur National Highway. Just three months ago Bachchan was posted in Sarai. Constable Amitabh Bachchan was a resident of Bhadaura in Haveli Kharagpur police station area of Munger.
1 dependent will be appointed in police on compassionate grounds The Compassionate Committee of Bihar Police Headquarters has approved the appointment of 1 application received for the job of dependent of policemen. The Compassionate Committee considers and takes a decision on the application of the dependents of those policemen who die during service. Assistant Inspector General of Police (Welfare) Vishal Sharma gave this information in a press conference organized at the police headquarters. Shri Sharma said that in the applications accepted by the Compassionate Committee, it has been recommended for appointment to the posts of Child Constable, 15 Constables and 22 Clerks. At the same time, it has been decided to relax the prescribed standards for appointment to 63 constable posts. Shri Sharma said that action is taken on priority basis in cases of compassionate appointment by the State Police Headquarters.
