Expenditure observers Omprakash and P Sugendran took review meeting of nodal officers of enforcement agencies.

Raigarh. Expenditure observers have been appointed by the Election Commission of India for 4 assemblies of Raigarh. Among these, (IRS) Omprakash has been made the expenditure observer for assembly constituencies 15-Lailunga and 16-Raigarh. Similarly, Shri P. Sugendran (IA&AS) has been made Expenditure Observer for Assembly Constituencies 18-Kharsia and 19 Dharamjaygarh. After arrival in the district, the work of election expenditure monitoring teams was inspected by the expenditure observers and detailed information regarding the works was taken from the officers in charge. After which a meeting was held by Expenditure Observers Omprakash and P. Sugendran along with senior officers of RPF and GRP along with enforcement agencies Police, Excise, Forest, Mining, State and Central GST. In the meeting, the action taken by them so far and the future strategy was discussed with all the officers. In the meeting, the Expenditure Observer said that all the monitoring teams engaged in election work were directed to work with full promptness and promptness. He said that during the code of conduct, the election work has to be done in coordination with the concerned FST and SST teams. He told the team in-charge that during the inspection, all types of registers have to be maintained and daily activities have to be recorded. The Expenditure Observer also instructed the concerned team in-charges to monitor the movement of cash, illicit liquor, clothes, weapons and other suspicious items in the check posts within the district limits and to take strict action on complaints related to transportation of illegal substances.

Expenditure observers take bankers’ meeting

Expenditure observers Omprakash and P. Sugendran told the bank representatives that you play an important role in fair elections. He said that during elections, keep a special eye on the transactions of such accounts which can be used to influence the elections. On suspicious transactions, he said that if there are deposits and withdrawals of more than Rs 1 lakh, then get information about the source, along with this, if money is transferred from one account to more than one account, apart from the candidate’s account, there is more than Rs 1 lakh in the accounts of his family members. Apart from this, you have to send daily reports keeping an eye on sudden money transactions in accounts which have been closed for a long time. He told the bank representatives that the nomination process has started, hence new accounts will be opened in the bank for the election by the candidates, in which the candidates should not face any kind of problem. He took information on cash transportation. Bank representatives told that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, the vehicle is being sent after generating QR code, on which the expenditure observer said that random checking of the cash vehicle should be ensured.
