Congress will gain power in all five assembly states: Mallikarjun Kharge
Kalaburagi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said here on Wednesday that the Congress will win power in the assembly elections next month and form governments in all the five states. Speaking to the media in Kalaburagi, Kharge said that the Congress party’s preparations are in full swing for the upcoming elections in five states. He said, “We are confident that Congress will win in all five states. “Against the backdrop of inflation and unemployment, the anti-incumbency wave is clearly visible, which is a plus point for the Congress party.” He further said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have turned against the BJP government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
BJP did not fulfill the assurances given during the elections. Promises like removing unemployment, doubling the income of farmers, bringing investment from abroad were not fulfilled, due to which it will have to suffer the consequences. He alleged, “The central government has been neglecting the state since the Congress government was formed in Karnataka. “The Center is not allocating any scheme to Karnataka, yet this southern state is moving ahead on its own.” Kharge said, “The main contest in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is between Congress and BJP. Congress had come to power in these three states last time also and will come again. No force can stop it. There is likely to be a triangular contest in Telangana between the ruling BRS, Congress and BJP. The people of the state want change. “The position of BJP is already weak in this state, hence the possibility of Congress coming to power is strong.”
