Cyber crime police took meeting of service provider nodal officers

Keeping in view the assembly elections, with the aim of conducting crime-free, peaceful, independent and fair elections in compliance with the model code of conduct, today on 26.10.2023, under the direction of senior officers, in the office of Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitambar Singh Patel, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Civil A meeting of officers/employees of Social Media Monitoring Cell along with nodal officers of all mobile service provider companies (Jio, Airtel, Vodafone/Idea and BSNL) was organized in Line Raipur. In the meeting, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Pitamber Patel informed the nodal officers of mobile service provider companies about various provisions of the election related Model Code of Conduct.

According to the provision, on sending bulk SMS during election campaign, there is a provision to add the expenditure to the account of the concerned candidate/party and instructions were given not to send bulk message or any kind of publicity of any party before 48 hours of voting. Are. Instructions were also given to immediately provide the information required by the police during the elections. Along with this, the officers/employees of the Social Media Monitoring Cell constituted under the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit have been asked to keep an eye on all social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Telegram and other platforms and prevent election or any other kind of misleading activities by any person. Those spreading information were identified and directed to take necessary action against them.
