Forest inspector narrowly escapes Naxal firing
Thiruvananthapuram. On Monday, Naxalites entered the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary in Kannur district of Kerala and opened fire, luckily three forest inspectors of the state escaped safely. A forest official in Kannur said the firing took place around noon when observers were taking food material to the camp set up in Aralam forest for on-duty forest officials. He said, “The observers suddenly encountered Naxalites, who were armed with weapons. “The observers saved their lives by running away quickly.” Police officials have taken statements of observers and patrolling has also been increased in the area.
