Two bookies arrested with Rs 38 lakh cash, ATM card and passbook also found

Continuous action is being taken against criminals in the state. In this series, Bastar Police has taken the biggest action till date against bookies. The police have arrested two bookies, from whose possession the police have also recovered Rs 38 lakh 63 thousand 200 in cash.
Jagdalpur CSP Vikas Kumar said that information was received from the informer that some people are betting in Jagdalpur by betting on winning or losing numbers through WhatsApp messages online. After which a special team was formed from the police station and the team left for the place marked for action. The team surrounded and arrested two suspects in Sanjay Itwari market of the city. During this time, mobile and laptop were recovered from him in which evidence of online betting was found. Let us tell you that the names of the arrested accused are Danteshwar Rao alias Danti and Ritesh Kumar Trivedi, both are residents of Jagdalpur city. Police recovered Rs 38 lakh 63 thousand 200 cash from the possession of both the youths. Apart from this, 15 pieces of betting slips, ATM cards and passbooks have also been seized. The police have also recovered one laptop and 10 mobile phones from the possession of the accused. At present, the Kotwali police station has registered a crime against both the accused under Section 6A 7(1) and have sent them to jail on judicial remand.
