Paddy procurement starts from today in Chhattisgarh
Raipur. Paddy procurement is going to start in Chhattisgarh from today, November 1st. Due to non-availability of biometric machines in the state, paddy must have been purchased through token system. The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department has issued an order in this regard. The Food Secretary has issued orders to all Divisional Commissioners and Collectors.
Due to non-availability of biometric machines in the state, paddy will be purchased through token system. It is being told that biometric system has not been installed in the paddy procurement centres. Paddy procurement will probably be done through biometric machines after Diwali. Tokens have been allotted for purchasing three lakh tonnes of paddy on the very first day.
