Dead body of old man found in closed flat

Kaushambi. Unrest broke out in a Himgiri apartment in Kaushambi police station area of the district on Sunday afternoon. When the dead body of an elderly man was found in an apartment building. When neighbors noticed foul smell coming from the apartment on Sunday afternoon, they informed the police. Based on the information, when the police reached the spot and opened the door of the apartment, everyone was stunned to see what they saw there. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. According to the information received, neighbors in Himgiri Apartment of Kaushambi police station area noticed a foul smell coming from the apartment on Sunday afternoon. When people started having trouble with the strong foul smell, they informed the police. When the police reached the spot and broke the door of the apartment which was locked from inside, the sight was shocking. There was the body of an elderly man who previously lived in the apartment. The deceased elderly man was identified as Rajan Bedi. Indirapuram Deputy Commissioner of Police Swatantra Kumar Singh said the body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated. On looking at the dead body it is found that it is three or four days old. It is being told that the deceased elderly man had returned from the rehabilitation center only a few days ago. There was no one in his apartment. The family members were informed about the incident.
