BJP expelled veteran leader from the party
New Delhi. BJP leader Sandeep Dayma’s troubles are increasing. When he gave a controversial statement, BJP expelled him from the party and canceled his membership. Sandeep Dayama was a BJP candidate who contested from Tijara Assembly seat of Rajasthan in 2018. However, Sandeep Dayama lost to BSP candidate Sandeep Yadav. This time Sandeep Dayama’s name has also been included among those seeking tickets. In Yogi Adityanath’s rally in Tijara, former Bhiwadi Municipal Council Chairman Sandeep Dayma had made controversial remarks regarding mosques and Gurudwaras. There were protests against Sandeep Dayama after his statement was published. The Sikh community burnt the effigy of Sandeep Dayma and raised slogans.
Apart from Alwar, the Sikh community also took to the streets in many cities of Rajasthan and Punjab against Sandeep Dayma. Seeing the increasing protest, Sandeep apologized to the Sikh community, but even after this the matter continued to escalate. As the controversy escalated, the party took action. On the controversial statement, State Disciplinary Committee Chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat has expelled Sandeep Dayma from the party and has also taken away his core membership. In 2018, Sandeep contested against BJP candidates from Tihara seat but lost. In this year’s general elections, Sandeep Dayma had also contested from the assembly seat. Sandeep Dayma was supported by BJP candidate Baba Balak Nath from Tijara Assembly seat. Sandeep Dayma belongs to Gurjar community. In such a situation, along with having influence over the Gurjar community, Sandeep Dayma also has considerable influence in the Tijara area. Sandeep Dayma was the chairman of Bhiwadi Municipal Council.
Before Sandeep Dayma was removed, BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh had opened a front against him. Amarinder Singh had demanded the expulsion of Dayma from the party. He said that he should be expelled from the party. Legal action should also be taken. He also stressed that no one should get away with an apology after expressing hate speech. Captain Amarinder Singh said that he would ask the high command to immediately expel Sandeep Dima, who had made objectionable statements against mosques and Gurudwaras, from the party. His comments have already upset so many people that his apology means nothing. Along with dismissing him, legal action should also be taken. Because anyone who gives hate speech and then apologizes should not be allowed to do so.
