According to the instructions of Collector Prabhat Malik and under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mohit Jaiswal, the Excise team seized illegal Mahua liquor quantity of 50 liters and 500 kilograms of Mahua Lahan from the forest of Village- Chergadodha Police Station-Basna under Excise Circle Basna under Excise Act 1915 against unknown accused.
A case under section 34(2), 59(a) and 34(1)(f) of IPC was instituted. Whereas on Friday, in the action taken by the Joint Excise Team under Mahasamund rural circle, a total of 02 persons were arrested under 1 case 34(1)(a), 34(2) and 59(a) and 1 case under 34(1)(a). Case registered. In which 50 liters of hand kiln Mahua liquor from Ratan Kumar Tandon of Village Pachari, Police Station – Khallari and 4 liters of Hand Bhatti Mahua liquor and 30 kilograms of Mahua Lahan from Umesh Kumar Dhruv, Village Raital, Police Station – Khallari, the total quantity is 54 bulk liters of Mahua liquor and 30 Kilogram of Mahua Lahan was seized.
The action was taken under the guidance of Assistant District Excise Officer Nidhish Koshthi and Excise Division Incharge Uttam Buddha Bhardwaj, under the leadership of Excise Sub Inspector Circle Mahasamund Rural Hriday Kumar Tirpude. During the proceedings, Excise Sub Inspector Mukesh Kumar Verma, Basna Nitish Singh Bains, Excise Chief Constable Madhav Rao, Excise Constables Sanjay Tiwari, Devesh Manjhi, Sanjay Markam and city constable Mukesh Pradhan, vehicle driver Gandhi Ram Thakur and all the excise staff Mahasamund were present. Assistant District Excise Officer Mrs. Savita Rani Meshram had a special contribution in the proceedings.
