Guwahati: Government employees, pensioners and their dependent family members will get medical benefits under the Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAJ). Health Minister Keshav Mahant gave information
Speaking to the media here, the minister said, “The existing medical reimbursement system for government employees and pensioners is a complex one. Many employees and pensioners are not able to take advantage of this. And due to this the Chief Minister has launched the Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana for the medical treatment of employees, pensioners and their dependent family members. We have recently launched a portal for this facility. Employees and pensioners will have to register under this portal, besides giving their approval for the change from the existing system to the new system.
The minister further said, “Under the new system, employees and pensioners, apart from their dependents, can get treatment in government and private hospitals. The government will pay the cost of treatment as per the healthcare scheme of the Central Government.
Registration for this health scheme is going on under the online portal. Atal Amrit Abhiyan, Assam will implement this new healthcare scheme on behalf of the state government.
