44.55% voting took place in Chhattisgarh till 1 pm
Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, 44.55% voting took place till 1 pm. Voting is going on in 20 seats of the first phase. Since morning, voters have been standing in long queues outside the polling booth to cast their votes. Regarding the elections, the Election Commission has released the voting figures till 1 pm. In which 44.55 percent voting took place in all 20 seats. On the other hand, there are many voters in Dongargarh Assembly who could not cast their vote due to the negligence of the administration.
Similarly, 80-year-old Prabhu Girdhar, resident of Budhwari Para Ward No. 15 of Dongargarh, and his family have been deprived of voting. Prabhu Girdhar told that when they reached the polling station in the morning, his and his family’s names were not in the voter list. After which he called it a conspiracy and alleged deletion of names from the voter list deliberately.
Along with this he told that he has been voting for the last 60 years. He had voted in all the previous elections, but this time his and his family’s names have been crossed out by mischief. He has complained about this and talked about going to court.
