India successfully tests ‘Pralaya’ missile off Odisha coast
Balasore : India on Tuesday successfully test-fired its surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) ‘Pralaya’ from Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast. A defense officer gave this information.
This missile has been developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
The missile, launched around 9.50 am, accomplished all its mission objectives, the official said.
A battery of tracking instruments monitored its trajectory along the coastline, he said.
‘Pralaya’ is a 350-500 km short-range, surface-to-surface missile with a payload of 500-1,000 kg, the official said.
He said, ‘Pralaya’ has been developed for deployment on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the Line of Control (LOC).
