Two people drown while trying to take out slippers that fell in the drain, die
New Delhi: Tragedy struck when two individuals lost their lives while attempting to recover their fallen slippers from a drain. The victims were identified as Sagar (32) and Bablu (18), both hailing from NSA Colony in the Vishwas Nagar area.
According to a senior police official, the incident unfolded at 7 pm on Monday. Sagar and Bablu, accompanied by Golu (18) and Saurabh (19), were gathered near a ‘ganda nala’ in the vicinity of the Krishna Nagar metro station, where they were consuming alcoholic beverages. Unexpectedly, one of their slippers slipped into the drain. In a bid to retrieve their lost footwear, Sagar and Bablu jumped into the drain but tragically lost their lives in the process. The police officer stated, “A PCR call was made to report the incident at 9:46 pm.”
