Lakhimpur Kheri: On Tuesday (November 7) morning, two children going home from Anganwadi were kidnapped by miscreants in Eghra village of Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. The children were kidnapped by a father and son from the same village. They kidnapped them, put them in a sack and threw them in a sugarcane field in the village. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and the accused were arrested. The victim’s family members found the children in Uchaulia area of Lakhimpur Kheri.

The family members went to Anganwadi to get information about the children, where they were told that the children had left school.
Family members started searching for the children
The family started searching for the children in the village but they were not found in the village. After this the villagers started searching in the fields and found Aniket inside a plastic bag in a sugarcane field located about 3 kilometers away from his house. Ankit was also found sitting at some distance in the same field. After finding the children, the villagers contacted the police and lodged a complaint regarding the matter.
Police started investigation regarding the case
Police started investigation in connection with the case and arrested two accused. The accused are a father-son couple and have been identified as Rakesh and his son Narveer who had taken the child to the sugarcane field on their bike. The accused have been arrested and are in police custody. The father of one of the victims said that the father and son kidnapped the children to sell them. However, the police have started investigation and are interrogating the accused.
