ATS arrests 2 ISIS activists in Jharkhand
Ranchi: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) team has apprehended two individuals with alleged connections to ISIS in the Godda and Hazaribagh districts of Jharkhand.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Aariz Hussain and Naseem. According to reports, Aariz Hussain, who hails from the Asanbani area in Godda district, is believed to have engaged with young people on social media platforms for the purpose of radicalization.
Upon receiving this information, the ATS team took Hussain into custody. During the subsequent interrogation, investigators discovered “suspicious chat” records on Hussain’s mobile phone involving Naseem. As a result, Naseem was also apprehended.
According to ATS reports, Hussain purportedly admitted to his ties with ISIS and other proscribed terrorist organizations located in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
