Bhilai Regional Center meeting concluded in Delhi

Bhilai. In the executive board meeting of Lalit Kala Academy held in New Delhi, the city’s famous sculptor Ankush Dewangan has demanded to open a regional center in Bhilai as soon as possible. Accepting his proposal by voice vote, the House recommended sending the proposal to the Ministry. During this, Lalit Kala Akademi Chairman Professor V Nagadas, Senior Secretary of the Culture Ministry Uma Nanduri, Indira Gandhi National Art Museum Secretary Sachchidanand Joshi, Finance Secretary, Academy Secretary Rajiv Kumar, Deputy Secretary Rahas Mohanty, Ministry Secretary Kumar Joshi and members of the Executive Board were present. At the very beginning of the board meeting, Lalit Kala Academy Chairman Professor V Nagadas praised the cultural activities of Bhilai. He mentioned the contribution made by Bhilai Steel Plant in the development of art and culture of Chhattisgarh since its inception, due to which the artists here have developed extensively. He mentioned artists like Padmavibhushan Tijan Bai, Devdas Banjare, Baital Ram Sahu, known as Kishore Kumar of Chhattisgarh, whose art flourished due to the plant. Apart from this, the gathering was also informed about the artistic activities being run here and the talk show of Civic Center Krishna Arjun Rath Complex. In his speech, Executive Board Member Ankush Dewangan gave detailed information about the culture of Bhilai, which is called Mini India, to these very important officials from the Central Government. Where people from every province of the country reside. People of every religion and sect work shoulder to shoulder here in the plant. Apart from this, people of every province have kept the culture of their state alive. Which is clearly visible in the Teej festivals held here. Officials from various departments of the Central Government welcomed the initiative of Bhilai Steel Plant and said that if it helps, Bhilai can emerge as a big cultural hub of Central India. Deputy Secretary Rahas Mohanty also praised the art and culture of Bhilai during the recent committee visit. After the convention, Ankush Dewangan has also met the Director General of Sahitya Akademi, Sangeet Natak Akademi, National School of Drama, National Gallery of Modern Art, who have given advance wishes for this eighth center since the country’s independence in 1954. On participating in this historic convention for the Chhattisgarhi art world, well-known painters D.S. Vidyarthi, Harisena, Viman Bhattacharya, P. Valson, Goswami Saheb, B.L. Soni, Mohan Baral, litterateurs Maneka Verma, Meena Dewangan, Praveen Kalmegh, Dr. Sonali. Chakraborty, Bhupat Rao Borkar, Parashar, Prashant Kshirsagar, Umakant Thakur, Harish Dewangan, Narottam Sahu, Laleshwari Sahu, Gunjan, Dheeraj have expressed happiness.
