BJP state president BY Vijayendra said this about party leaders
BENGALURU: Newly appointed BJP state president BY Vijayendra, who is all set to take charge on November 15, has said that his priority is to resolve “small differences” among the party seniors and ensure victory in all 28 Karnataka constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Seats will have to be won. Lok Sabha elections will strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters in Tumakuru, the 46-year-old MLA from Shikaripura said, “More than the son of BS Yediyurappa, the high command gave me the responsibility of leading the party as state president, seeing me as a young leader. BJP is a big party and there may be minor differences among senior leaders. My priority is to resolve such differences, if any, as it is my duty to take them into confidence and seek their guidance and blessings. I spoke to Ravi Anna (CT Ravi) and will talk to Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and V Somanna in this regard,” he said.
Vijayendra said he would take over as state chief of the party in the presence of senior leaders including Basavaraj Bommai, CT Ravi, Govind Karjol, B Sriramulu and others. Meanwhile, Vijayendra met Vokkaliga saint Sri Nirmalanandanath Swamiji, head of Adichunchanagiri Math, on Saturday evening. On Sunday he visited the prominent Lingayat religious institution Siddaganga Math and sought blessings of Sri Siddalinga Swamiji. He meditated for some time in ‘Gadduge’ of Sri Shivakumar Swamiji. Vijayendra along with his family members worshiped their family deity at Siddhalingeshwara temple in Yediyur. Meanwhile, Vijayendra has called a meeting of the BJP legislature party on November 17, in which the decision on the leader of the opposition will be taken.
November 16 rally postponed

He said, “After November 23, we will hold a big public rally. We will invite either Union Home Minister Amit Shah or BJP national president JP Nadda,” said BJP state general secretary and MLC N Ravikumar.
