Panic created after fire inside bag at railway station, accused absconding
Bareilly: There was panic at Bareilly Junction in UP when suddenly smoke started coming out in coach S-2 of Avadh Assam Express going from Lalgarh to Dibrugarh. As soon as the passengers saw the smoke, they started screaming. Hearing the noise, RPF reached inside the coach and hurriedly evacuated the coach. Many passengers also got injured during this period. There was an atmosphere of panic. The passengers were in panic. There was chaos for a quarter of an hour. The train arrived at 12:45 and left at 1:30.
When the information about the fire in the train reached the district administration, CFO Chandra Mohan Sharma and CO Sweta Yadav reached the junction with the team. Smoke was coming out in the coach. Search operation was launched. A bag was found, which contained some fireworks. Smoke was coming out of it. The bag has been taken into custody by RPF. It was not known which passenger’s bag it was. An attempt was made to run the train at 1:15. There was more crowd of passengers. Chain pulling was being done again and again.
The train was dispatched from Bareilly Junction at 1:30 pm. Along with this, RPF SI and constables were also put on duty in the coach. So that if any incident occurs on the way, it can be immediately informed to higher authorities. During this time, bags etc. of many passengers also fell here and there on the railway track. All the shoes and slippers were also scattered. Many mobile phones also fell. 10-15 passengers also got injured during the stampede. Many children have also been injured.
