New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday had a telephone conversation with Britain’s Minister of State for Defence, Grant Shapps. The Defense Ministry said India and the UK discussed a range of defense and security issues with a special emphasis on the Indo-Pacific. “The ministers reviewed the ongoing activities and discussed possible cooperation in new areas,” the Defense Ministry said. The ministry said the two ministers explored ways and means to develop closer defense ties. Britain’s Minister of State for Defense has invited Rajnath Singh to visit Britain. Rajnath Singh has also congratulated Grant Shapps on being appointed Minister of State for Defence.
