One died due to gas cylinder explosion, 6 serious
Gorakhpur: The incident took place in Gorakhpur district on the day of Diwali. Six members of a family got burnt in a fire that broke out in their house due to gas leaking from the safety valve pin while changing the cylinder regulator at Gariha police station in Bangai on Diwali evening. An elderly woman died during treatment at the medical institute. The condition of these three people remains critical. Saloni, an 18-year-old girl from Olahi forest in Pipurichi district, is studying in class 11 at the house of her maternal grandfather Kunjoyhari, a resident of Banagai in Ramashish Guri district. When the gas in the cylinder ran out at 6:30 pm on Diwali, Kanjuihari’s son Ramdani Nishad took out the regulator of the empty cylinder and replaced it with another regulator filled with gas.
Brought it to me and started using it. The safety pin adjuster installed on the cylinder inside opened and started spreading throughout the house. Ramdani extended his hand and started switching off the gas and Ramdani’s younger brother Rajan also extended his hand and started switching off the gas. Meanwhile, Ramdani’s wife, who reached Sangam, was thrown out. Here, in the balcony where the lights were on, Ramdani’s mother Kamarwati and Saloni’s niece were sitting. Kamravati and Saloni caught fire as the gas leak reached the balcony. As both of them ran into the house, there was a gas leak, the house caught fire and everyone in the house got severe burns. The injured were taken to BRD Medical College. 60-year-old Kamravati Devi died during treatment on Monday afternoon. Ramdhani, his brother Rajan and niece Saloni are undergoing treatment and Saloni’s condition is said to be critical. Here Dr. Kanjuihari and her daughter-in-law Sangam gave him first aid and sent him home.
