A massive fire broke out in three shops in Sundernagar area
Sundernagar. A sudden fire broke out in three shops located on the ground floor of a three-storey house in Harbagh on the Kiratpur-Nerchowk four-lane road in Sundernagar around 6.30 pm on Monday, and goods worth lakhs kept inside were completely burnt to ashes. The shop owner suffered a loss of Rs 20 lakh and the landlord suffered a loss of Rs 7 lakh in the fire. The fire was detected when the shopkeeper was out of the shop.
The fire suddenly took a terrible form. When the fire broke out on the ground floor of the house, people in the upper two floors were immediately evacuated and the fire department was informed. Fire brigade personnel of BBMB Sundernagar and Salapar reached the spot and brought the fire under control, but by then the fire had burnt everything to ashes.
Tehsildar Sundernagar Ved Prakash Agnihotri said that an amount of Rs 10.10 thousand has been given to the shopkeeper and the landlord as immediate relief. Instructions have been given to assess the damage and prepare a report.
