4 accused arrested in dispute over election campaign in Raipur South
Raipur: Four accused have been arrested in the dispute over election campaign in Raipur South. Police said that the candidate Gallu Sahu was campaigning with his associates Balram Sahu, Bhola Sahu and Suraj Sahu near Gaura-Gauri Chowk in Lakhnagar at around 09.30 pm. Meanwhile, around 10.00 pm, about 20-25 people came near the house and started abusing the applicant and his companions along with his mother and sister. Then the applicant’s uncle Shiv Kumar Sahu came there and refused to abuse those people, then Wasim, Annu and Akram and other people who came with him beat the applicant, his uncle and his friends with their hands and fists and hurt them, the video of which also went viral. It was, that on the report of the applicant, crime number 452/23 section 294, 323, 506, 34 IPC was registered against the accused in Police Station Old Basti. The crime of was registered.
In relation to the incident, after conducting detailed interrogation of the applicant including his uncle and his associates and the people nearby, they located the accused and located all the possible places of their hiding and arrested the accused Sohail Khan, Sameer Khan and two boys who were in conflict with the law. He was arrested and legal action was taken. The other people involved in the case are being interrogated and ascertained.
