Fire broke out in a private bus packed with passengers

Fatehabad. A massive fire broke out in a private bus near MM College on Ratia Road. Due to blockage of roadways, the bus was completely packed with passengers. Although the passengers saved their lives by coming out of the bus as soon as the fire broke out, the luggage of almost all the passengers was burnt to ashes.

Most of the people were laborers and many were going to Bihar for Chhath Puja. Cash worth more than Rs 1 lakh belonging to many passengers was also burnt to ashes. Even before the fire brigade arrived, the bus burst into flames. Later the fire personnel brought the fire under control.
According to the information, the private bus running on Fatehabad to Tohana route was coming from Tohana to Fatehabad via Kulan, Ratia this afternoon. There were more than 60 passengers in the bus because there was a roadways strike today. Smoke started coming out from the engine of the bus after coming near Ratia Overbridge in Fatehabad.

After which the bus reached near MM College, about a kilometer ahead, when the bus caught fire. On which the driver immediately stopped the bus here and the passengers got down. The passengers only got time to get down, before which the bus started burning badly.

Mindo Devi, an elderly woman who came from Ratia, told that she was going to Nohar in Rajasthan for Narma Chugai. Chuge Narma’s wages for the last few days were around Rs 25 thousand. Out of which he put one thousand rupees in his wallet for rent, while 24 thousand rupees were in the bag. The bag was burnt to ashes in the fire.

On the other hand, Kamlesh, a resident of Chhapra, Bihar, told that he does vegetable work in Ratia. He was going to Bihar with his family for Chhath Puja. There was cash worth Rs 65 thousand in the bag. Which burnt to ashes. Apart from this, the belongings of other passengers were also burnt, which included cash and valuables. On the other hand, another person told that many people were carrying idols of God, they were also left behind in the bus. All the stuff in the bus was burnt, but the statues were saved, which he was calling a miracle.
