Liquor worth lakhs found in SDO’s vehicle

Haroli: Illegal liquor was recovered from the SDO’s vehicle parked near Gondpur sub-station of the Electricity Department late Thursday evening. Police have recovered two boxes of English liquor and two boxes of beer from the vehicle. The police have registered a case against an unknown person for possessing liquor and have started investigation. According to the information, Haroli police was patrolling near the electricity department sub-station located in Gondpur. Seeing the police, the driver of the SDO of the Electricity Department ran away towards the sub station.

When the police searched the car on suspicion, two boxes of English liquor and two boxes of beer were recovered from inside the car. Police starts further action by taking possession of Punjab brand liquor. Confirming the matter, DSP Haroli Mohan Rawat said that suicide has been started due to possession of illegal liquor. Also, it is being ascertained who brought the liquor consignment in the vehicle and how it reached.
