Man stabs wife in apartment
Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his wife to death in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, credible reports said. The incident took place in an apartment in Baramunda area of Bhubaneswar.
Police sources said that it is alleged that there was a family quarrel between them and in anger the husband attacked the wife and stabbed her.
The husband, identified as Sapna Kar, has been arrested and is being interrogated by the police. Neighbors said the couple had been having regular fights for two years.
Further reports said that the wife, identified as Madhusmita, did not attend Sapan’s uncle’s death ritual, which angered him.
Latest reports say that the wife’s condition is critical and she has been taken to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Bharatpur police has reached the spot and is conducting a detailed investigation in this matter.
A similar incident was reported from Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon. A man burst into his wife’s office and attacked her with a knife, thinking she was in a relationship with someone else.
