Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody extended till December 11
New Delhi. Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia and others till December 11 in the Delhi Excise Policy case. On August 4, the Supreme Court had refused to pass any directions on interim bail and directed the case to be re-listed on September 4 for hearing on interim relief and regular bail applications.
The Supreme Court had in July this year issued a notice and sought response from the investigating agencies on petitions filed by the senior Aam Aadmi Party leader challenging the Delhi High Court orders denying him bail in CBI and ED cases. Was done.
On July 3, a division bench of the Delhi High Court refused bail to Manish Sisodia, saying he did not satisfy the twin conditions and triple test for granting bail under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
A statement issued by the ED on July 7 said that they have attached assets worth Rs 52.24 crore of Manish Sisodia, his wife and some other accused persons in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.
Sisodia was arrested by the ED on March 9 after the CBI arrested him on February 26 this year.
