Ghaziabad : Incidents of Hindu girls converting to religion after getting trapped in the trap of love come to light one by one. Hindu organizations have expressed their opposition to Love Jihad many times. After the release of Vivek Agnihotri’s film Kashmir Files, a new discussion has started on this topic. Still such incidents keep happening. The latest incident happened in Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi. But this case of love jihad and conversion is quite different from other cases. The surprising thing in this case is that after eight years of marriage, the victim came to know that her husband is not a Hindu. After the secret was revealed, the defendant’s husband started pressurizing her to reform.
The woman has two children. Yet he steadfastly refused to convert. Due to increasing pressure from his wife, he left the house and started living somewhere else. But my husband came there with his mother and brother. He was attacked. After this the woman lodged a report at the local police station. As soon as information about this was received, the police intervened. The suspect’s husband was arrested the next day. The matter pertains to Shalimar Bagh police station of Ghaziabad. The accused husband Ricky alias Navid lives in Wazirabad, Delhi. The name of the victim woman is Archana. Both of them got married in 2015. Then they lived together for eight years. During this period two children were also born.
According to Archana, she had met the accused just a few months before her marriage. He said his name was Ricky. When they fell in love, he married her with the consent of her family. After this both of them started living together in Wazirabad, Delhi. Now in five years they have had two children. Meanwhile, when Archana came to know her husband’s secret, she was stunned. Ricky is a Muslim. His real name is Naved. At first she was against it, but became silent because of the children. Naved took advantage of this and pressured her to convert. Many times an attempt was made to convert the Maulvi by bringing him home, but he resisted.
After this her husband’s relatives started torturing her. Naved was supported by his mother-in-law Gulnaz and son-in-law Javed. Distressed, Archana took her children to Chhabra Colony in Shalimar Garden, Ghaziabad. She started living there with her relatives. But Naved also came there and disturbed her. On November 19, he came with some people and brutally beat his wife, after which the victim lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws at Shalimar Garden police station. Police have registered a case against the accused under Dowry Prohibition Act and Religious Conversion Prohibition Act. The brother of the accused had also married a Hindu girl.
