Training for counting work
Janjgir-Champa : Under the Assembly Elections 2023, Deputy District Election Officer, Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer (all), Vote Counting Assistant Returning Officer, Master Trainers for each Assembly and Tabulation in-charge officer of the district, Postal Ballot Nodal Officer of Janjgir-Champa, Sakti and Korba districts. Officers, EVM Nodal Officers, Security Nodal Officers and Programmers were given vote counting training by National Level Master Trainers (N.L.M.T.) Shrikant Verma, Ujjwal Porwal and Assistant Programmer Bhupendra Singh today in the assembly hall of District Panchayat Janjgir. In the training, detailed information was given on all the necessary points to complete the counting of votes following the rules as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. The counting of votes under the Assembly Elections 2023 will be done on 3 December 2023.
In the presence of Collector and District Election Officer Richa Prakash Chaudhary, National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) gave training giving detailed information about the responsibilities to be performed during the counting of votes. Officials were made aware of the major statutory provisions, rules and necessary precautions to be taken during vote counting. The training included preparation before counting of votes by the master trainer, arrangement of human resources and necessary resources, counting of postal ballots, counting of votes through EVM machine, counting software, arrangement of filling index cards, infrastructure at counting centres, security arrangements in counting centres. And information was given on other important topics. During this, Additional Collector SP Vaidya, District Panchayat CEO RK Khunte, Deputy District Election Officer Nisha Netam Madavi, All Returning Officers, AROs, Nodal Officers and related officers and employees of Sakti and Korba were present.
