Uttarkashi: Saturday was the 14th day of Uttarkashi tunnel accident. After 47 meters of drilling was done on Friday, when further drilling was being done, problems started arising. While drilling, problems were being faced due to iron rod coming in the debris. After which drilling has stopped since late Friday night.
At the same time, the American heavy auger machine from which there were hopes has also died. While clearing the debris from the tunnel, an iron rod and pipe collided with the heavy auger machine about four times, due to which the auger machine was badly damaged.
Considering all this, manual drilling is now being considered. Drilling from above the hill is also being considered. Arnold Dix, an international tunneling expert, said that the auger drilling machine would no longer be able to help. We still have many ways to carry out the rescue operation. But, now you will not be able to see the auger machine in the rescue operation. The auger machine is out.
