Woman dies in accident during Rapido ride
Indore: A 23-year-old woman died in an accident while taking a Rapido ride in Indore Lasudia police station area on Friday night. The accident happened near Lasudia Mori at around 10 pm when she was returning home after finishing her work.
She booked a two-wheeler Rapido to return home and on the way she met with a road accident. He was taken to the hospital where he died after two hours of labor. Police are investigating to know the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
According to police, the woman was identified as Arpita Verma, a resident of British Park near Singapore Township. Arpita’s brother Aatish told that she worked in a beauty parlor and after finishing her work, she had booked a Rapido ride to return home.
It is not yet clear whether the two-wheeler collided with another vehicle or the divider.
The police started investigating the case and sent the body for post-mortem. The police will also examine the CCTV footage near the spot to know the circumstances under which the accident occurred and further investigation is underway.
