Wife attacked with a hanger, murdering husband arrested

Dhamtari : A sensational case of murder has come to light in the district. Where the husband killed his wife by attacking her with a sword. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, established a route and started investigation. The accused husband was arrested. This case is of Keregaon police station area. According to the information, Keregaon Police received information that this morning Dhaneshwari Kunjam, husband Devsingh Kunjam, aged 30 years, was murdered by some unknown person by hitting him on the neck with a tangiya in Pathrapara Kamardera Bazaar Kurridih. On receiving information about which, station in-charge Keregaon reached the spot with his team. Since prima facie it appeared to be murder in the case, the dead body was inspected, Panchnama was conducted and a path was established and taken up for investigation.

The deceased’s husband was absconding after the incident. The police started searching for him. In this case, police interrogated the people nearby and found out that in the morning after the incident, the accused husband had left the house and was hiding in his other house. Whom the Keregaon police arrested and interrogated. During interrogation, his involvement in the incident was revealed. During strict interrogation in the case, the husband told that he woke up at 5 o’clock on Sunday morning and killed his sleeping wife by attacking her with a sword. The family members told during interrogation that the mental condition of the accused also worsens from time to time. On the basis of memorandum statement and sufficient evidence, a charge of murder has been registered against the accused in Keregaon police station. Accused Devsingh Kunjam father Meghnad Kunjam age 35 years Sakin Pathra Para Kamar Derabazar Kurridih has been duly arrested and sent on judicial remand.
