8 year old girl fell into a pit in Malkangiri district
Malkangiri: An 8-year-old girl fell into an open pit in Malkangiri district of Odisha on Monday. The incident took place in Indira Colony of Maithili block of the district. Later, he was rescued and taken to the hospital. The victim has been identified as eight-year-old Mamta Gowda of Indira Colony under Maithili block. According to the information, the little girl was playing nearby when she somehow fell into a 6 feet deep manhole. The said manhole was dug so that an electric pole could be installed here later. However, it was kept open and open. When the local people came to know about the incident, they reached the spot and tried to save the minor girl. Meanwhile, one of them informed the fire brigade. After receiving the information, firefighters reached the spot and pulled the eight-year-old girl out of the manhole after an hour of hard work. However, after the rescue, the victim minor girl was taken to the hospital in Maithili as her condition became critical. According to the latest report, the health condition of the victim girl is stable. The girl has been admitted to the hospital and is now undergoing treatment.
