PM Modi on Monday prayed at ‘Koti Deepotsavam’ at NTR Stadium in Hyderabad for the safe evacuation of workers trapped in the tunnel in Uttarakhand. ‘Koti Deepotsavam’ is a religious event of lighting lamps during the Hindu month of Kartik. PM Modi said- ‘We should remember in our prayers for the speedy evacuation of the people trapped in the tunnel. Today, when we are praying to the Gods and Goddesses, we also have to give place in our prayers to those laborers who have been stuck in the tunnel for the last two weeks.
PM Modi further said- While participating in the ‘Koti Deepotsavam’ program, he said that the government and all the agencies together are leaving no stone unturned to rescue the workers trapped in the Uttarakhand tunnel for the last two weeks. But we have to complete this relief and rescue work very carefully. In this campaign, nature is constantly giving us challenges, but we are standing strong and trying round the clock. We have to pray for the safe and early exit of those workers.
